As with the Raasay While We Wait series, this 2017 release is a blend of two whiskies from one unnamed distillery, composed of 50% grain and 50% wheat. The vatting is then finished in Oloroso sherry casks.

Presented here under the working title "Borders," this is a blended single grain whisky, bottled by R&B Distillers to evoke the flavours of their planned Lowland grain distillery in the Scottish borders. This will be the first new grain distillery in the borders in 150 years, and will be a sister site to their Raasay malt whisky distillery in the highlands. Confusingly, a distillery named Borders was later opened by a different company, so R&B Distillers' single grain will be bottled with a different name when the time comes.
