Triumph On the Shoulders of Giants (70cl, 43%) Diageo's blend of 27 malts to celebrate the opening of Roseisle Distillery

Diageo's "Triumph" blended malt whisky is a significant, limited-edition release created in 2010 to mark a major milestone in the company's production history: the opening of the Roseisle Distillery.

The concept is a nod to Isaac Newton’s famous quote "On the Shoulders of Giants", the whisky was designed to celebrate the evolution of Diageo's production by blending spirit from 27 operating sister malt distilleries including iconic names like Clynelish, Talisker, and Lagavulin with the new Roseisle distillery. The Triumph bottling was released at 43% ABV.

Roseisle was built as a £40 million technologically advanced "mega-distillery" near Elgin, which opened on October 11, 2010. It represented at-the-time a complete snapshot of the Diageo malt portfolio, highlighting the company's control over a large portion of Scottish whisky production. In 2017, Diageo released "Collectivum XXVIII," another blend comprising all 28 of their operating malt distilleries at that time. The "Giant" behind it, the Roseisle distillery was built to increase capacity by 30%.
