An older presentation of West Corks original blended Irish whiskey, a delicate blend of grain (75%) and malt (25%) matured exclusively in bourbon casks.

West Cork Distillers was formed in 2003 by childhood friends John O'Connell, Ger McCarthy and Denis McCarthy. It made no sense to open a distillery at that time due to the economy crisis, but the three friends were hungry for a change in career. To start with distilling took place in a small room at the back of Denis's house, it wasn't until 2014 when the business expanded that the operation moved. In 2020 they opened a new distillery making them one of the largest owned distilleries in the country. WCD currently operate out of a 12.5 acre site in Skibbereen in West Cork and export to over 70 countries.
