Distilled in the year 2000 and bottled in 2017, this is the second time Balblair has released its 2000, this time with 17 years of careful ageing. The single malt was first matured for 13 years in oak casks previously filled with bourbon, then aged for an additional 5 years in Spanish oak butts.

Balblair Distillery, established in 1790, is the second oldest functioning distillery in all of Scotland and is located near the town of Edderton in the Northern Higlhands.
